OVERVIEW

OVERVIEW

ADHD Zoo is a self-initiated pamphlet that uses animal metaphors to illustrate common ADHD traits. Each character embodies a behavior like impulsivity, inattention, or hyperactivity, making abstract concepts easier to grasp in a playful and approachable way.

The ADHD Zoo is a playful visual series that reimagines common ADHD traits as animals—each one quirky, relatable, and just a little chaotic. Created as part of My ADHD BFF, the project aims to make ADHD easier to understand (and laugh about) through metaphor-driven design and character illustration.

CHALLENGE

CHALLENGE

Explaining ADHD traits to students and educators can be challenging. The goal was to design an educational piece that was simple, memorable, and engaging enough to spark curiosity without overwhelming or oversimplifying.

OUTCOME

OUTCOME

I printed and shared the pamphlet with an English school, where it was enthusiastically received. Teachers now use it as a resource to help their students better understand ADHD, turning what began as a personal exploration into a tool with real educational impact.

SOLUTION

SOLUTION

I designed a series of illustrated animals, each paired with a short description that explained an ADHD trait in plain language. The visual system was bold and minimal, ensuring clarity while still feeling fun and imaginative. The pamphlet format allowed it to be both shareable and practical for use in classrooms.
